TrafficDroyd

TrafficDroyd is an Android application providing real-time traffic messages for roads in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.

You can set your individual filters in order to select traffic messages by road name, free text, message priority, or your current GPS position. Jump from one tab to the other to change the default ordering criteria: sort by age of message, the affected road, distance to your current location, or by message priority.

Running on Android 1.6 and higher platforms TrafficDroyd allows you to read (audio) messages as well. Optinally, the traffic service keeps running in the background and alerts you (audio and/or vibration) in case fresh incoming traffic messages matching ayour personal filter or location. In the application settings you can enable a text-to-speech outpur for each incoming traffic message.

TrafficDroyd features a traffic map showing real-time traffic conditons on a (non-Google :-) map.
